Hi there! I'm John Green, the driving force behind The Official Magnate Mortgage Team, powered by Edge Home Finance. With a passion for helping people achieve their homeownership dreams, I've been navigating the mortgage landscape since March 2021 and became a licensed Mortgage Broker in December 2023. Whether you're in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, or North Carolina, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
When I'm not crunching numbers and securing great deals for my clients, you'll find me officiating high school sports. Since January 2022, I've been a proud referee for basketball, baseball, and football. I love the thrill of the game and the opportunity to support young athletes.
On the personal side, I'm happily married to my amazing wife, who is a real estate broker at Magnate Real Estate. Together, we have a bustling household with seven wonderful children. We're avid travelers, having explored 11 states and tied the knot in beautiful Barbados on October 22, 2022.
Real estate isn't just my job—it's my passion. My wife and I run Magnate Acquisitions, our very own real estate investment company. Since 2020, we've bought, wholesaled, renovated, and rented properties, achieving over $35 million in sales with more than 150 properties sold.
I'm always striving for growth. My goals? To close 8-10 mortgage deals each month, renovate and sell 4-5 properties this year, and add 2 rental properties to our portfolio. I'm also aiming to officiate at the college level someday.

A toll-free consumer hotline is available at 1-877-276-5550. The department maintains a recovery fund to make payments of certain actual out of pocket damages sustained by borrowers caused by acts of licensed mortgage banker residential mortgage loan originators. A written application for reimbursement from the recovery fund must be filed with and investigated by the department prior to the payment of a claim.
